Recently Dhoomimal's City Gallery started its exhibition 'Souls of Surfaces' by 23
artists from 26th to 30th September, 2008 at Epicenter, Gurgaon. The exhibition
started with the lighting of the lamp by the renowned artists Niren Sen Gupta,
Harish Srivastava, Jagdish Dey, Santosh Verma, and show organiser Mr. Pallav Jain.
The artists in the exhibition form a unity in diversity; they supply our eyes sparks
of excitement, kindle our enthusiasm. Now though it is just not possible in a short
space to note down the especial virtues of each it can be said that all in all works
have been carefully selected, even when you may have your special favourites the
others will be balm for your eyes, food for thought, or move your reflection. As
such the exhibition is not a mere pastime. It could further a vital movement in the
seeing eye; help in the appreciation of order and harmony in our thoughts and
feelings; open a passion for life whose fountains are within.
During the inauguration of the exhibition Manoj Nayak, R.K. Yadav, Santosh Verma,
Hemraj, Jagdish Dey, Niren Sen Gupta, Puja Sharma, Subhash Jain, Ajay Sharma
(Managing Director, Baidyanath) among others were present.
